Being Engaged

Hi Blogsphere!

I sunk to the marriage life actually, hehehe. That's answer the long hiatus I've been. This month will bring us to the third months of our marriage life which is extremely full of love, happiness and a whole lot of a new things to us !

But, before I can blog about how marriage life been treating me, I might as well share some of our Big Day stories so if any time any one of you won't be puzzled why I suddenly mentioned "My Husband" or me sharing stories of how's life after living together with my man..

Anyhow, up until today I still can't get over of my wedding. I like my wedding, so much !!!  I can get excited everytime I got the chance to talk about it. I've never had enough of our wedding pictures, even not all of the pictures is with us now, due to several logistic reasons. And, the best part is My husband and I still feel in love like how we were when we first met, even deeper ! If I knew, the feeling of being married to someone you love is this beautiful, I would've ask him to propose to me earlier than thisss !! Hahahaha :D

On January,24th, we were officially engaged. My parents insist on having engagement ceremony because they said they can't leave that "adat" just yet. So, being one obedient daughter I am, I just say yes and sit there with the clothes they prepared and put some make up on, right? Our family (Kamil's and Mine) also got the chance to get to know each other since they never meet before.

Simple pelamin

My sisters, My cousin and I did the hantarans all by ourselves for both sides.

My Kak Long

This is the highlight of the day, when Kamil's mom come and put the ring on me, to mark that Kamil's already booked me. I feel all malu because have to sit there and look at all the people who come, while waiting for his mom... hahaha...  Felt soo nervous at that time because, I don't know what to do...  -- ___--

Spot my ex - fiance (which is not my beloved husband) just sitting there in front of me, and taking my pictures like we were on a sightseeing mood. Huh... #funnyman

On the day also, my three little brothers having their "Tamat Al-Quran" or we call it as "Khatam Al-Quran" ceremony, which actually the initial plan was I supposed to join them, but that plan was finally cancel due to *again* several technical reasons. As a sister who watch and really see them growing up I'm very proud of them, but sadly I couldn't sit there and watch their Al-Quran recital, because I can only sit in my room. But , my sister managed to record their videos #lifesaver ! I know how nervous they were !

After finished with everything, of course it's makan time. Food was ordered by my parent from the caterer they used for my elder brother's wedding on last June. It was nice and alhamdulillah, all the guests can makan and no complain received #missionsuccess

Our engagement was very simple and very intimate because my mom only invited close family and I only inform my closest friends and relatives only. Even up until today, I haven't shared any of the photos on Facebook, yet. In fact, the pictures actually were all gathered from random cameras and Handphones of me, Kamil and family members. Because, I didn't hire official photographer on the day.

My simple baju kurung only cost me only RM 6.00 per metre for the chiffon, and RM 20.00 per metre for the sateen which is made for the lining. Workmanship cost me RM 250.00  not included the beadings. The yellow mustard shawl is handmade by me, just buy the plain shawl from Jakel for RM 12.00 and some leftover lace from the baju and beads. Veil actually is a half moon shawl which cost me only RM 8.00 And I ask the lady who beads my baju to beads the veil together.

While Kamil's baju melayu cost us around RM 300.00 including the workmanship and the sulaman. While as for the food my mom paid RM 10.00 per head which is quite cheap for my place. Mini pelamin cost me RM 200.00 and make-ups actually included in my wedding package which cost me RM 250.00  for three make ups session, including solemnization and reception.

Hantaran items (Hersheys Chocolate, Ferero Rocher, Famos Amos Cookies, Cupcakes, Fruits and Cookies) cost us around RM 200.00 only not included the ring and tab for my sister langkah bendul and also my engagement ring.

All in all, I'm glad we had the engagement ceremony prior to the wedding. I am happy because I know how much love I get from my parents and family, I am blessed and grateful to Allah SWT. At least, I can tell my future kids Your dad and I were once engaged for two days only.. hehehe
